Since 2020, LUMIN® has been piloting a socio-labour programme that supports female woodcutters and their respective families which has been met with great success. Generating dignified and legitimate job opportunities for females in the region of Tacuarembó, LUMIN has developed an initiative that both supports the company and the local community.

Previously, by-products of our harvesting process were being taken from our timberlands illegally. In order to combat this, we worked in close collaboration with the Government’s Social Development Department to create positive change. Find out more about this in our recent video.
