As a member of the Gender Unit of the Union of Exporters of Uruguay (UEU), LUMIN®’s HR Manager Mara Pisano Rodriguez was recently invited to an event which saw a memorandum of understanding signed between the UEU and UN Women.

The agreement aims to promote the incorporation of gender policies within companies and supports businesswomen and entrepreneurs in their endeavours.

Vice President of the Republic, Beatriz Argimón and the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Carolina Ache Batlle both attended the event, , alongside the Regional Director of UN Women for the Americas and the Caribbean, María-Noel Vaeza, Magdalena Furtado UN Women UY, Andrea Roth President of UEU and Teresa Aisemberg UEU.

We were recently recognized as an Export Company with a focus on Gender by the Banco República (BROU) and the Union of Exporters of Uruguay.
