IDB group in Uruguay, PwC Uruguay and UN Women, in the framework of the “Win-Win: Gender equality is a good business” program, launched the first edition of the Prize: “Talent has no gender, based on WEP Principles”. It recognizes the progress and good practices implemented by companies in Uruguay, within the scope of gender equality and work complementarity. In this first edition, companies legally constituted and domiciled in Uruguay, national or multinational, for and without profit, from any sector of activity and with a minimum of 10 employees were invited to participate. The participating companies completed a questionnaire that considered questions oriented to the following dimensions: demography, strategy and policies, attraction-selection, development, promotion, compensation, inclusive work environment, flexibility and well-being, organizational culture and community. In its first edition in Uruguay 48 companies were nominated, between both categories: national companies and multinational companies. Once the review of the applications was completed, the companies that had the highest score were identified to pass the next stage. In this opportunity Uruply S.A. It is one of the companies with the highest score, As part of the process, the companies with the highest score will be visited on-site by professionals from PwC Uruguay to validate the information registered and learn about their best practices. These visits will take place between September 17 and October 4. Once the validation has been carried out, a Committee made up of representatives of the IDB Group, UN Women and the Delegation of the European Union in Uruguay will analyze the results and define the winning companies. In the awards event, which will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2019, the winning companies will be recognized in both categories.
