Last week we were proud to show Faye O’Connor, British Ambassador to Uruguay around our LUMIN® plywood mills in Uruguay.

During her visit we were able to show her the full life cycle of our products, from seed to veneer and plywood.

She was impressed by our commitment to sustainability and our use of renewable energy created from the by-products (biomass), to power the mill, and also that we produce a surplus of bioenergy that is sold to the National Grid in Uruguay.

Faye was particularly interested in hearing about the work we do within our local community to create more equal employment opportunities for women and minority groups.
