Within the framework of the agreement signed between LUMIN and the Technical School of Tacuarembó - University of Labor of Uruguay (UTU), it has been working on the realization of wooden furniture’s to donate to childcare centers in Tacuarembó. These furniture’s are made from the donation of panel cuts, which are used by students and teachers of the Carpentry course On this occasion, UTU students with teaching support made educational furniture for local institutions. One of them is the Arcoiris Education and Care Center, attended by sons and daughters of plant workers, as well as other children of the community. Another institutions that received the donation of furniture’s was the Early Childhood Care Center (CAIF) of the Los Molles neighborhood, an area of ??the city where many workers of the company. This type of agreement will support the education and training of students in these communities, while benefiting institutions that work in our comunity. The wood furniture provided as the pikler cube, triangle and wooden drawer are based on Emmi Pikler's free movement theory that consists in giving the child a prepared and safe environment and allowing them to develop freely, to experience movements to their rhythm without the unnecessary intervention of an adult, who becomes an observer and a figure that provides security and support.
